THE STARTING POINT

Earniculum started with a problem that kept showing up. Even entry-level opportunities now ask for a long list of tools, credentials, and experience. The pressure is greater still for someone changing careers, returning to work, or trying to learn something new without a clear path in.
People are told to keep learning. But learning takes time, and it usually costs money, so the people who most need a way in are the ones who can least afford one. That tradeoff is the thing worth attacking.
The argument behind Earniculum is simple. People are asked to invest more time and money in education while carrying all of the short-term cost themselves. Earniculum creates a clear path back: complete an eligible, verified learning milestone under published rules and receive the reward attached to that work.

I am a Computer Science student at Purdue University, driven by the belief that learning should be a lifelong pursuit, not a transaction. We live in an era where everything around us is expected to be monetizable. Every minute of our lives, we are shaped into prime targets for someone else's profit, constantly sold to and optimized for consumption. I want to break this narrative. My mission is to incentivize people to invest in themselves by developing new skills, exploring uncharted interests, and unlocking potential they never thought possible. Growth should be its own reward, not just a line item in someone else's business model.

I kept seeing people, including myself, be asked to spend more time and more money just to stay competitive. I chose to build Earniculum because effort should count now: learners should be rewarded for investing time into their selves and for taking the next step.
