WHY EARNICULUM EXISTS

We will pay you
to learn.

A bold promise built from a simple belief: the time people invest in becoming better should create value now—not only someday.

THE STARTING POINT
“The job market keeps moving the finish line. Learning should help people catch up—and move ahead.”

I’m Arnav Sivakumar, a Computer Science student at Purdue University and the founder of Earniculum.

I kept seeing the same problem: even entry-level opportunities can ask for a long list of tools, credentials, and experience. The pressure is even greater for someone changing careers, returning to work, or simply trying to learn something new without a clear path in.

People are told to keep learning, but learning takes time and often costs money. I started Earniculum to challenge that tradeoff. If a platform creates value from a learner’s attention and participation, the learner should have a path to share in that value.

TRAIN WHAT MATTERS

Your most powerful “muscle” is the one we train the least

The brain is not literally a muscle. But the metaphor matters: our ability to think, adapt, and learn can strengthen through use. A landmark Nature study found training-related structural changes in adults learning to juggle—evidence of the brain’s capacity to adapt.

We invest in devices, subscriptions, and physical performance. Earniculum is built around investing in the capability behind all of them: the person learning.

WHY THIS MATTERS NOW

The world of work is changing. Access to learning has to change with it

39%

of workers’ core skills are expected to change by 2030.

The World Economic Forum also ranks curiosity and lifelong learning among the skills rising in importance.

Research in The Quarterly Journal of Economics connects faster skill change with skill obsolescence in technology-intensive careers.

48%

of adults facing learning barriers cite time as the biggest one.

Work and family responsibilities lead the barriers to adult learning; cost remains another significant obstacle.

WHY EARNICULUM?

I kept seeing people asked to spend more time and money just to stay competitive. I chose to build Earniculum because effort should count now: learners should share in the value their participation creates.

WHY EARNICULUM?

I chose Earniculum because I believe learning should create opportunities from day one, not only after completing a course. Its vision of helping people earn while they learn aligns with my belief that education should be practical, empowering, and directly connected to real-world outcomes. Earniculum represents the future of learning by combining skill development with immediate value, allowing learners to build their knowledge while creating opportunities to earn along the way.
