Cookie Notice
Effective September 9, 2026
This notice explains the browser storage used on Earniculum and the choices available to you. It should be read with our Privacy Notice.
Necessary cookies
Necessary cookies keep accounts signed in, protect forms and private areas, remember your consent choice, and preserve the broad source of a public visit before a waitlist signup, partner application, or sponsor application. They are first-party cookies and cannot be disabled through our panel because the related features would stop working. The source cookie may include the ?ref= code from a staff or waitlist referral link. A waitlist code is random and does not contain the referrer’s name, email, phone number, or signup ID; authorized administrators resolve it only after the referred visitor submits. The cookie contains no advertising identifier or browser fingerprint and expires after thirty days.
Optional cookies
Analytics helps us understand which pages and features work. Preferences remember optional choices. Earnie improvement allows separately approved, de-identified examples to be reviewed when we improve Earnie. Your private conversations are not included automatically, and this choice does not control the conversation history you ask Earnie to save. Advertising allows Google and its advertising partners to select, deliver, limit, measure, and report ads. Each optional category starts off until you choose it.
Advertising
Google-served ads currently load only on complete public course sample pages and only after you consent to advertising. Where the law permits and you consent, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar technology to serve and measure ads, including personalized advertising based on prior visits or interests. If personalized advertising is not permitted or not selected, Google may show a non-personalized or limited ad, or no ad. Google may receive information about the page, browser, device, approximate location, consent state, and ad impression or interaction. Earniculum does not send Google a learner’s private course record, messages, reward balance, payment details, or private profile content. Read how Google uses data and manage personalization in Google Ads Settings.
Direct sponsor placements and partner-course recommendations are selected by Earniculum. They do not place a sponsor’s tracker on an Earniculum page, and reporting to those companies is aggregated unless you choose to leave Earniculum by following their link.
Where ads appear
Google-served ads are limited to complete public course sample pages. They do not load on other public pages, exams, messages, settings, reporting and moderation tools, administrative and partner workspaces, checkout, legal pages, public certificate verification, or other signed-in and sensitive flows. Ad-free learner accounts receive no Google, sponsor, or promoted-course placements.
Your choices
You can accept all optional categories, decline them, or choose each category separately. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time. Declining optional cookies does not remove access to the public site or core learner features.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, Earniculum treats it as an instruction to keep advertising use for targeted advertising or sale switched off, including when an older cookie recorded a different choice. Earniculum does not sell personal data. The signal does not disable necessary storage or erase account records; use the Privacy Notice process for an access or deletion request.
